	Overall Rating: About the Reviewer: Age: 50 - 65 Cruise Experience: 7+ cruises Traveler Type: Singles/friends Stateroom Type: Oceanview Not the Best Cruise Ship of Carnival by Terri C from Oklahoma City, OK Sailing date: Sep 2007 Pros: The staff was very friendly and service was great Cons: The entertainment and shows It is a ship in need of a makeover. Dated and in need of a new coat of paint. It lacked the excitement of some of the previous Carnival cruise ships that I've been on. It seems Carnival is cutting back in alot of areas because of cost. Ship Details: Ship Quality Ship size was good, easy to find your way around. The public areas were clean, not hard to find the various areas of the ship. Decor was older and more dated than I expected but adequate. Dining/Food I was surprised at the quality of the food in the diniing room. It was better than I have experienced on other Carnival cruises. Even the meat was better than the last time. You could chew it ;). The dining staff was great !! Very friendly and helpful and went beyond expectations when called to do so. Stateroom Quality Not a problem!! Had no complaints. Room steward was excellent and was very friendly and helpful. We were close to the elevators so finding our room was easy. The new bedding and mattresses are so much better than in the past. Keep up the good work. Ship Staff Quality I loved the people that we had. They went out of their way to see that we had a good time and provided us with everything we wanted. Good job to all !! Entertainment & Activities For the most part, the activities were ok, nothing to write home about. The comedienne was very good but can't say much for the dancers or the variety shows. I myself love to sing, and the karaoke was really good, Loved Ashley the host of karaoke. He is wonderful!! I only have one personal comment. I don't like the way they did the talent show. Its by audition only and its very restrictive as far as the people they are looking for the show. Kind of biased for us older people who wanted to be in the show. It's called the Legends show and the people are chosen by the audience applause to be in the show. If you are like me, you didnt bring a whole group of people to applaud for you , so in that respect its not a fair process. I much prefer the old way of doing it, which is to sign up on the sheet of paper and whoever signs up gets to be in the talent show. Its more impartial and fair for everyone concerned.
