"Not such a great way to vacation" by First time cruiser. from usa

Pros:
Good entertainment when we could find it, great service staff and very helpful. Fairly large casino made it easy to gamble if you liked.

Cons:
Ship was very rocky and rolling. There were a lot of people who got motion sickness. The food was not great although the food service staff was very good. Our stateroom which was a Suite was noisy, mostly because of the wind which whistled through the door.

The ship was in good shape and clean. The service staff was very good and very helpful. Food was average at best, but there was plenty if all you wanted to do was eat. Plenty of seperate entertainment bars and clubs but seldom anyone entertaining? This cruise was not worth a good land vacation when comparing dollar for dollar with options available.

Ship Quality
Seemed like a smaller ship than others that we saw docked in the Bahama's. Cleanliness was good and decor OK but there were some ares that were showing wear, especially floors.

Dining/Food
Food was not good. The evening dining in the fine dining room was better but still far from American restaurant quality steaks and sea food. An 8:30 pm seating is also too late for most and getting it changed was not possible because everyone wanted the early seatings. Not enough salad options...only 2 per sitting?

Stateroom Quality
We had a suite on the Veranda deck and it was fine and clean. The wind did whistle through the deck door at night though.

Ship Staff Quality
Staff was outstanding. The brightest spot of this cruise. The staff were helpful, freindly and very hard working always looking for ways to add comfort to our vacation. All spoke good english also. The dining staff were especially good although they could not make up for poor food?

Entertainment & Activities
Lots of bars and gathering areas but never anyone performing in them? Only performances were pretty late at night and were sparsely attended because of this. The afternoon games and challenges were fine but also some people like entertainment that is furnished, not entertainment that you must participate in.
