MAGNIFICENT!!! by
Nicole H. from Shelbyville, In
Sailing date: Feb 2009 Pros:
all of the ammenities- shopping, food, cultures, people, arcitecture, fun and the game QUEST
Cons:
there were a few not so friendly workers- a few, most were extremely nice and helpful
The ship is so elegant and fancy, yet it's very welcoming and comfy. It felt like home on the ocean. The ship is huge! This was our first cruise and i am already looking up info on traveling this ship again in the coming year. The cruise and ship was wonderful!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The dining room was immaculate!! My head waiter was as pleasant as anyone could possibly ask for.
Stateroom Quality We had an interior stateroom and it was the perfect size for us. The beds were awesome... we slept like babies.
Ship Staff Quality The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, there were just a select few(like 3 out of like a staff of 1300 or so) that was sort of not so nice. That was tolerable. It made no difference with our cruise, we still enjoyed it. I loved my stateroom attendant- he made awesome towel animals.. so cute. The waiters that worked in the TWO POETS PUB were extra friendly.. 2 thumbs up for them.
Entertainment & Activities There is plenty to do on this ship. There's never a dull and boring moment. The game QUEST is awesome. It's so hilarious at the stuff people do to win a challenge...it was great! The part of the game with the hole in a sock was downright funny. I still laugh about it.

Better than I expected by
Andy P. from Ft Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Sep 2006 Pros:
Balcony, Pool Area and BINGO
Cons:
Leaving
OH MY GOD!!!!! What a Great time we had. The Ship was fantastic. This was our 1st time on a cruise and everyone said you must do this. So for our 20 year ann. I took my wife and 2 boys (17 and 15) and got the boys their own balcony room and it was a good thing because they were free to do whatever they wanted and we did not need to worry about them. So much to do on board that we did not get to do it all. I enjoyed the hot tub and spent at least 1 hour a day there. The Balcony was worth the extra money. It was only $100.00 per person extra. I played Bingo everyday. The kids had a club they would go to and met so many other kids. We are already starting to book our next cruise. We loved it.
Ship Quality We could not find anything we did not like. The elevators had the day of the week in the carpet so you knew what day it was or you could lose track.
Dining/Food The main dinning room was fantastic , the windjammer was pretty good however we were a little disappointed with the cafe. It was the only place open 24 hours but the food was smaller portions
Stateroom Quality The room was fantastic, actually better than we expected it to be. Everyday they would make little characters out of towels and leave them on our bed or hanging up. We would go out on the balcony every morning and every night. It was really relaxing.
Ship Staff Quality I found most of the staff very helpfull and very upbeat. They wanted everyone to have a great time and it showed.
Entertainment & Activities Bingo was fun and the pool contest were enjoyable. The evening shows should not be missed.
Children's Programs The kids loved being able to have some freedom in their own private kids only room.

Top notch service by
A Traveler from Vero Beach, FL
Sailing date: Jul 2006 Pros:
Service
Cons:
Passengers
The ship was large and very impressive. Most areas were kept very clean although there were some public bathrooms that were not as clean as others. While there was some movement, I did not experience seasickness. The standard stateroom was small, but quite acceptable and quiet. Unfortunately, on this particular cruise, many of the passengers were rude and unfriendly. Nodding and smiling or saying hello was often ignored or the response was a nasty stare. Obviously, the cruise line has no control over this and it is the luck of the draw
Ship Quality
Dining/Food I read many reviews regarding the food and service on this ship. In my opinion, the main dining room was first rate. However, despite reading favorable reviews of the Windjammer, I thought the food served there was unacceptable. Watery eggs and just generally food of substandard quality. Also, I found the crew in this eating area to be less than helpful and not always pleasant.
Stateroom Quality The stateroom was good. The bathroom, while quite small, was adequate for my needs. The attendants were polite and helpful. However, the carpet was dirty and it was obvious that it had not been vacuumed. I asked several times for this to be done during the week, but it was never vacuumed. I often saw the vacuum cleaner sitting in the hall and came very close to doing it myself.
Ship Staff Quality I have to say good here as there were considerable differences among the many areas of the ship. The staff in the dining room, especially our maitre d' and waiters were the best I have ever experienced. In other eating areas, they were sometimes borderline rude, but most often less than friendly.
Entertainment & Activities We did not sign up for the shore excursions. They were expensive and I read widely mixed reviews. Instead, we took public transportation and walked and hiked. This turned out to be an excellent experience on all the islands.

Great cruise! by
Emily H from Council Bluffs, IA
Sailing date: Jun 2006 Pros:
The service was absolutely WONDERFUL! They make it very clear that their only goal is to make YOU happy. They are very fun and energetic and want to make sure you have the best vacation possible.
Cons:
The only things i didnt like were the elevators (took a lot of waiting time) and the slow moving gangway lines when at port.
The ship was absolutely amazing. The second i walked on the ship i felt like i was in a dream. It was my first cruise, but in my wildest dreams i NEVER imagined i'd be living anywhere like that for 7 days. I quickly realized that the staff was very warm and welcoming to its guests. Even when it isn't their job they will tell you all of the fun things that you can do that night. At dinner the waiters, assistants, and head waiters treat you as if you are the only guest on the ship. Despite how busy our head waiter was, he always came over to talk to the kids and often drew pictures with them.
Ship Quality The ship was always in great condition and was always clean. the only bad thing about its large size was the elevators. With all the different events and many people on board, catching an elevator at times was almost impossible. Some people wanted to get to dinner, or a show, which meant the elevators were always coming or going with people, so the elevators always seemed to be going the opposite ways you wanted them to.
Dining/Food Dinner at night was absolutely amazing. You are seated with the same people every night, which is great. By the end of the week you make great friendships with the people at your table. The waiters and waitresses are absolutely amazing. They treat you like royalty when they serve you. When you come to dinner every night they are waiting for you with your chair out and a smile on their face.
Stateroom Quality In any other place, people would think that the staterooms are too small, but for a cruise ship i found the space to be plenty. Most people don't spend that much time in their rooms anyway. Every night when we got home from dinner our sheets were clean and the pull out bed was made up. The itinerary for the next day was always set out along with a towel animal. We even got chocolates on our pillows every night ;) .
Ship Staff Quality As i already said, the staff was what made this ship so enjoyable. I can't stress this enough.
Entertainment & Activities There is ALWAYS something to do at any given time. There's even a buffet at midnight for those night owls! Theres always a parade or show or scavenger hunt going on. Trust me, you will never be bored.
Children's Programs I didnt travel with any chilcren myself, but at our dinner table there was a 5 year-old that we constantly saw running around with his teacher and other kids from the program. One morning we were waiting for the elevator to open and when it opened we were greeted by Ben (the 5 year-old) and all of his classmates roaring like lions. We had a feeling that something was going on because were heard the teacher counting "1-2-3!". Ben also often missed dinner because the adventure ocean had something planned for the kids, which is great because such a "grown-up" dinner is no place for an ancy 5 year-old.
