Staff-politeness-service-cleanliness and again staff Cons: Rude-Very rude passengers!! The company has no control over this. Wonderful cruise in a smaller ship. The staff to passenger ratio is less than 1 to 2. Most of the staff were well educated and spoke English fluently.The musicians on board have a vast reperatoire...there is something for everyone's taste- if you're over 50.-Activities varied.Disappointingly, only one cooking demonstration on our 12 day cruise...computer lessons, bingo, and the other usual events. The lecturer on future destinations was NOT well prepared.(Jan/07), I'm sure that has changed. The lectures on different communications style of the sexes were good. No children's activities and only 3 present. NO formal wear required. Generally an over 70 crowd with one pocket of 30 year olds.We've booked for 2008!! Ship Details: Ship Quality Smaller elegant ship with many intimate surroundiings. Not wheel chair accessble...one would require an aide. Public washrooms were always clean. Decor is European style, comfortable. Well stocked library with comfortable sofa and reading chairs. Dining/Food The other cruise lines should try Regatta's real Belgian chocolate.!!Buffet was served so there weren't people picking up and then dropping items back into the bowls or using their hands to help themselves. Reservations are required for the 2 specialty restaurants. These are without charge. Only 2 reservations were allowed for people in our cabin range.. went once. Other guests ate there nightly. The Grand Dining room had excellent staff and food as did the buffet. Never tried "Waves" outside snack bar. Eating on this ship was truly an experience. The European influence is obvious!! Stateroom Quality Enough storage for 2 weeks clothing. Small cabin and bathroom. No fridge in the inside cabins.Again-excellent staff. Laundromat availabe at a small charge. Ship Staff Quality No one could pay this staff enough!! They were never hovering but were always available. Took time to appreciate the guest's culture and needs-then responded appropriately. Entertainment & Activities The music was enjoyable throughout the day and evening.Excellent quality. The guest lecturers varied.
